Pass-by Noise System

The Prosig Pass-By Noise System uses the latest technology to provide a high quality, cost effective ISO362-1:2007 pass-by noise measurement system.

The system consists of a trackside base station that connects to the microphones and measures the noise of the vehicle as it passes the designated test area. It also includes a weather station to measure wind speed and direction.

The second part of the system resides in the vehicle and measures vehicle speed and position using high accuracy GPS hardware integrated in the P8000 measurement hardware. The driver is given feedback on speed and position via heads-up display. At the conculsion of the test the result is also relayed to the driver who can then initiate a further test without leaving the vehicle. This enables operation by a single engineer or technician.

Options are available to include further measurement channels in the vehicle system. In R&D environments this provides further data on vehicle noise and vibration.
