The Prosig NVH Starter system is a complete hardware and software bundle that provides a test engineer with everything they need to capture and analyze data from NVH & refinement tests. An ideal starting point for an engineer starting out in-vehicle NVH testing or other refinement scenarios.

NVH Pro System

The essential toolkit for high quality, cost effective NVH analysis

The Prosig NVH Pro System provides everything that the Starter System contains, but adds extra input channels, CAN-bus capability and more NVH application software. The Prosig P8020 unit is configured with sixteen 24-bit analog inputs, dual CAN-bus inputs and a dedicated tacho input. As well as the DATS NVH software bundle the Pro system adds the Hammer Impact, Psychoacoustics and Structural Animation packages.

Hardware

P8004:Ultra portable

The Prosig P8004 is an ultra portable, high quality, 24-bit data acquisition system. It is compact, rugged and has 4 analog inputs plus dedicated tacho input and is suitable for basic NVH tests.

P8012: Portable

The Prosig P8012 can hold up to 3 cards giving up to 24 analog input channels. The chassis is rugged and portable making it ideal for mobile NVH applications of all kinds.

P8020: Portable

The Prosig P8020 has the same rugged, portable chassis as the others systems and is ideal for mobile or laboratory NVH tests where a higher channel count is needed.

High Channel Count

The P8048 consists of a 12 card chassis that can be packaged for rack mounting or in a portable case. Up to 1024 channels can be configured for more complex NVH requirements.

Prolog Controller

Prolog is a controller that can replace your laptop or PC to allow remote, unattended or standalone operation of a P8000 system. The system may include one or more P8000 chassis.

CAN/GPS Card

The 8440 card supports 2 independent inputs for CAN-bus monitoring and PID mode. A GPS option allows position, velocity & time to be recorded. Ideal for correlating NVH data with vehicle data.

Tacho Card

The 8420 is intended as a solution for NVH tests where highly accurate rotational measurements are required.


Software

DATS Toolkit

DATS is a comprehensive package of data acquisition, NVH measurement & analysis and other signal processing tools.

NVH Analysis Suite

Includes NVH analysis tools such as extensive tacho analysis, waterfall and order analysis, waterfall averaging, 1/nth octave analysis and sound quality metrics.

Rotating Machinery

The Rotating Machinery option contains a complete set of tools for NVH analysis of vibration & noise caused by cyclic forces such as those found in engines, gearboxes, turbines & wheel excitations.

Hammer Impact

The software leads the NVH engineer through the measurement and analysis of data of structural response measurements. Provides time histories, H1, H2, Coherence, ASD, CSD.

Structural Animation

Animates 3D test pieces in time or frequency domain. Uses frequency response functions (FRF), FFT or cross spectra for frequency animation. Includes 3D graphical editor & AVI output of animations.

Modal Analysis

The Modal Analysis suite determines modal frequencies, damping factors & modal amplitudes from either measured frequency response functions or from response-only NVH data.

Audio Replay

Allows the user to listen to and analyze NVH audio data. Shows time histories, orders, SQ metrics with simultaneous audio output. Order and frequency filters provide powerful 'what if' scenarios.

Psychoacoustics

The DATS Psychoacoustics Analysis Suite provides a host of functions for the objective description of subjective sounds. Key to understanding and solving NVH problems.

Sound Mapping

Maps sound pressure or sound intensity using an array of microphones or a sound intensity probe. Displays drawn over an image of the NVH test piece and can be shown as contours and color maps.

Source Path Analysis

Includes transfer path analysis, source contribution analysis and path contribution ranking. Helps locate which sources are causing NVH issues and which transfer paths are most critical.

Time-Frequency

Includes wavelet analysis and a number of other time-frequency algorithms including Wigner Ville, Atlas Zhao Marks and Born Jordan.

Multiplane Balance

Multi-plane Balancing analyzes the baseline vibrations and then the vibrations from adding a trial mass (inertia) at each balance plane in turn. The user interface is designed to automate repetitive NVH testing.
