Software NVH Rotating Machinery Noise Vibration Capture Analyze report

Prosig / Sensound Aliance

April 2007

Prosig USA Inc. is proud to announce an alliance with SenSound, maker of powerful 3D acoustic holography software. To kick off the new Prosig / SenSound alliance a demo day has been scheduled to give engineers a thorough understanding of the potential available in acoustic testing. The demo will be at TechTown, in Detroit, MI, USA on April 11th 2007. Attendance is limited. Don't be disappointed. Contact Mike Moore to book your place. If you can't make the demo day, but would like further information of the Prosig/Sensound system or any of Prosig's other products please contact sales@prosig.com.

Prosig will be teaming with SenSound to provide our customers with a complete acoustic data acquisition system with Prosig P8048 unit & easy to use DATS data acquisition software and a comprehensive true acoustic holography analysis software platform from SenSound.

SenSound's powerful suite of software tools allow you to measure and see sound in a whole new light. SenSound’s award-winning technology uses acoustic pressure data captured with Prosig P8000 series hardware to create complex 3D surfaces with both stationary and non-stationary sound sources. These can then be used to reconstruct, visualize and analyze acoustic pressure, velocity and intensity in three dimensions anywhere in the field. With the Prosig / SenSound systems, engineering, design and manufacturing professionals can:

  • pinpoint noise sources and transmission paths
  • link source images to order tracking or changes over time
  • distinguish between structure-borne and airborne noise
  • determine the components of vibration responsible for sound radiation
  • identify the contribution of different noise sources to the overall noise level
  • conduct rapid  in-line sound quality control in noisy environments
  • identify and reduce noise from their products or manufacturing systems

SenSound products save engineering time and warranty costs by quickly and accurately identifying, characterizing and visually communicating noise problems, providing the information needed to make solid engineering decisions. Our tools accelerate product design, prototype testing and trouble-shooting, facilitate comparison of alternative materials and solutions, and validate SEA, FEA and BEM models. The information delivers essential insight into the development of effective solutions to noise problems especially where noise is caused by the complex interaction of various components and sources. The information also enables the user to demonstrate that products meet noise specifications and governmental regulations in an objective, credible and easy to understand manner, before and after production begins, by providing a quantifiable analysis of relative sound volumes and their respective source. Speed, accuracy, flexibility and resolution are well beyond anything available on the market, as is the ability to accurately map sound on 3D surfaces. Also unique to SenSound is the ability to use the complete sound field model to calculate source or panel contributions to any point in the field and to identify the components of vibro-acoustic modes that are responsible for sound radiation.

The Prosig / SenSound system can be critical to a company's competitive advantage by enhancing their customer's perception of premium quality - leading to greater revenues, margins and market share.
