PROTOR system installed at Spalding Energy for Intergen

October 2006

Prosig have successfully installed a PROTOR system for Intergen at Spalding Energy for monitoring vibration on two Gas turbines, a Steam Turbine and two Main Boiler Feed Pumps.

The system is a distributed monitoring system with a single PROTOR server PC based on a high-end rack-mount server containing RAID, hot-swap disks, dual high-speed Ethernet LANs, redundant power supplies and integrated “lights-out” ethernet port.

Individual Prosig P4700 data acquisition units are installed for each main item of plant which take their vibration data from a mixture of pre-installed supervisory equipment and dedicated seismic transducers.

The system is fully integrated within the station network for data archiving and remote access.
