DATS.acoustic
DATS is one of the leading software packages for the capture, analysis and reporting of technical and scientific data of all types. It includes time and frequency domain analyses as well as special solution packs to address specific applications such as NVH testing, rotating machinery analysis, acoustic measurement, human response to vibration and so on.
There are three main parts to the DATS.acoustics package.
The Sound Level Meter module provides a number of analyses that mimic the operation of a simple Sound Level Meter.
The 1/N Filters and Room Acoustics modules provide a set of 1/N Octave filters for use with both time signals and narrow band spectral data. The Reverberation Time T60 and Total Absorption for a room can be calculated using the Noise source switch-off method. The T60 determination can be based on a practical measurement with a decay in the room of less than 60dB.
The Two-Microphone Impedance Measurement Tube, (B&K Type 4206), is a completely scripted measurement procedure for guiding the user in making as accurate a measurement as possible of the acoustic properties of small material samples.
DATS.acoustic contains all of the functions and tools available in DATS.toolbox and adds all of the features mentioned above. You can enhance the DATS.acoustic package with the following options:-
Animate structures using time histories, frequency spectra or in the modal domain. The software includes a sophisticated 3D editor as well as imports for common formats. Data can be animated and overlayed with color map animations, magnitude & divergence and node persistence. Animations can be saved as AVI files for later playback.
